Gameplay Mechanics & Rules

Game Overview

In this game, players engage in a sequence of rounds with the main action being "tapping." The rounds proceed as follows:

Core Mechanics

  • Tapping Action: Players perform "tapping" by spending $TAP tokens, obtainable via a "Swap" page. Each tap resets the round's countdown timer completely, leading to a dynamic increase in the cost per tap as the round progresses.

  • Winning a Round: A player is declared the winner when the countdown timer hits zero, and they are the “last tapper.” This winner receives the entire prize pool for that round in ETH when the press tap again which will then start the next round making Tapout a perpetually endless game.

  • Prize Pool Dynamics: The prize pool, consisting of a central pot of ETH, grows with the game's activity, influenced by the trading volume of the $TAP token.

Round Transitions

Once a round concludes and a winner is announced, the game briefly enters an transitioning state before a player taps and the next round begins. This phase includes displaying the previous round's winner and their final prize, along with a preview of the prize pool for the upcoming round.

Economic Ties

The game's success and the prize pool's growth are directly linked to the $TAP token's trading volume as well as other external ETH contributions, fostering a symbiotic relationship between the game's economy.
