How To Play
Set Up Your Wallet & Get Connected
Before you can play, you need a secure digital wallet connected to the Tapout game.
Access Tapout: Open the Tapout game in your web browser.
Log In / Connect Wallet:
You'll see a prompt to log in or connect. Tapout uses a secure in-app wallet system, making it easy to get started!
Choose your preferred method:
Google: Log in with your Google account.
X (Twitter): Log in with your X account.
Passkey: Use your device's passkey feature for secure, passwordless login.
Email: Sign up or log in using your email address and a verification code.
Follow the on-screen instructions. An in-app wallet will be automatically created and secured for you.
Confirmation: Once connected, you should see your wallet address displayed, usually in the "Fund Your Wallet" step or on your profile.
Fund Your Wallet
To play Tapout, you'll need two things in your wallet:
TAP Tokens (💰): This is the game's main currency, used to pay the "tap cost" each time you play. Not needed at first as you will most likely purchase through the swap page after receiving your ETH.
ETH (⛽): This is used to pay "gas fees" – you are required to have this to pay for transaction fees and to purchase TAP tokens. Any amount will do.
How to Get Funds:
Follow Onboarding Prompts: The game will guide you through funding if your balances are low (often Step 2 of the login dialog).
Acquire TAP Tokens:
In-Game Swap: Look for a the swap page on the navbar to purchase TAP tokens.
Send from Another Wallet: If you have TAP tokens in another wallet, you can send them to your Tapout in-app wallet address.
Acquire Native Currency (for Gas):
You'll need to send a small amount of ETH to your Tapout in-app wallet address from an exchange or another wallet that holds this currency.
A small amount (e.g., 0.001 - 0.005 ETH) is usually enough for many transactions on MegaETH.
Understand the Game Screen
Once your wallet is set up and funded, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the main game screen:
Game Monitor:
Round: Shows the current game round.
Prize Pool: Displays the total amount of cryptocurrency (e.g., ETH) that the winner of the current round will receive. This pool can grow from TAP token transaction taxes!
Circular Timer: The countdown timer for the current round. This is crucial!
Last Tapper: Shows the wallet address (or username) of the player who last tapped.
Online Tappers: Indicates how many players are currently active in the game.
Tap Button Area:
Tap Cost: Shows how many TAP tokens it currently costs to make a tap. This cost might increase as the round progresses or more people tap.
"TAP" Button: This is your main action button!
Activity Feed:
Shows a live log of recent tap events. You can usually toggle this view.
Step 4: Making Your Tap!
This is where the action happens!
Check the Timer: Keep an eye on the "Time Remaining."
Check the Tap Cost: Make sure you have enough TAP tokens.
Click "Tap to Play":
Your wallet will ask you to confirm the transaction. This will involve spending the displayed Tap Cost (in TAP tokens) and a small Gas Fee (in native currency like ETH).
Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
You're the Last Tapper!
If your tap is successful, your address (or username) will appear as the "Last Tapper."
The game timer might reset or extend slightly (depending on game rules).
The tap cost might increase.
Step 5: Winning the Round 🏆
The goal is to be the Last Tapper when the Time Remaining hits zero.
If the timer runs out and YOU are the "Last Tapper": Congratulations, you win the entire Prize Pool for that round!
Prize Distribution: The prize can be claimed by pressing TAP again after the round ends.
New Round Begins: After a claiming your rewards, a new round will start, and the game continues!
